Danny pays his dues. Believe or
not, he never hit anything solid
during the crash that caused
this ugly gash. He was doing
an unhooked one-handed
forward-roll while looping the
kite in the opposite directon.
The landing got screwed and
he landed on the back of his
head at full speed. The impact
with the water flipped his ear
forward so fast it tore. It was a
Saturday so the doctors at the
local Maui hospital wanted
$1,600 to stitch it up. Danny
ended up taping it.
It healed fine.
